Nice work, Jon and Maria

I enjoy getting emails from our customers highlighting employees who work at TempWorks.

Eric Edelstein, CIO at Nelson Family of Companies, sent me an email recently regarding a tax discussion between his staff, Jon Schachtele, and Maria Dourgarian. Eric stated, "they both were very professional and got on a conference call in very short notice to clear up the misunderstandings."

Thank you Eric for your comments about our team.

Raving review of TempWorks Enterprise from Jeremy Daniel

Dan Temps in Houston, Texas has been using TempWorks for the last few years. Recently their Vice President, Jeremy Daniel, made the following comments about the TempWorks Enterprise product, "We upgraded to Enterprise months ago….Its GREAT!!....Much more user friendly and easy to navigate…We have nothing but good things to report with Enterprise….I am sure Gregg Dourgarian (owner of TW) would be more than happy to answer any questions, but we LOVE it."

Thanks Jeremy for your feedback.

A couple more TempWorks core product updates

In the last few days I have mentioned enhancements to TempWorks invoice discount system and sale tax functionality. Below are a few other updates to our core product:

*New Default system:
  • Removed defaults from Customer contracts. This allows for defaults to fall in based upon system, company, or branch rather than a Global contract at system level.
  • System, company, branch, or customer level defaults can be set up
  • Defaults can be set up on: shifts available, multiplier codes, accruals, required documents, and customer level defaults can be applied to departments easily
*Rate sheet improvements
  • Order and assignment rates can be setup by: employee, company/vendor, branch, job title/skillcode, shift name, worksite, as well as customers and departments
  • Rates can be applied to customer's departments automatically. No need to enter for each department.
  • Multiplier code can default in with rates
  • Worker comp code can also be set to default in with rates
  • Immediate gross profit analysis as recruiters can locate the most profitable employee or customer based upon contractual rates.

TempWorks attends Staffing Industry's Executive Forum '09

This year's Executive Forum for the Staffing Industry was held in Miami, Florida. There was a pretty decent attendance considering the economy (and that it wasn't held in Las Vegas).

David Dourgarian, Rich Peterson, and Cory Hintz were at the forum representing TempWorks.

I enjoyed listening to the various keynote speakers. It was also nice to visit with our current customers, prospects, as well as the other vendors.

I do have to tip my cap to the Bullhorn team. Their booth was pretty busy as they had a magician who was very, very good.

More ways to use TempWorks to become more efficient

Earlier this week I stopped in for a visit with one of our customers, Manpower of Palm Beach Gardens. I had a very nice visit with their owner, Mike Vorse, and their operations manager, Bobbi Hicks.

Bobbi Hicks let me know Manpower has been looking into ways to become more efficient with TempWorks. She said recently they switched over to using TempWorks for their Staff payroll, instead of outsourcing it to a payroll service. Bobbi also mentioned they had asked TempWorks to set up districts in their database to allow her team an easier way to search for candidates. She said adding districts has saved quite a bit of time as more and more people who are willing to travel longer distances for work these days.

Thank you Mike and Bobbi for your time. I thought I would mention some of the success you have been having with our other customers in case these same things might help them too.
